Award of Degree

Graduates will receive a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong if you

  • satisfy the credit unit requirement and GPA requirement.

 

MSc Programme in Computer Science Scholarship

Top students of MSc Programme in Computer Science in a year with very outstanding academic performance will be awarded a full or half tuition waive.

 

Entrance Scholarship

The Scholarship is open for application by applicants to the MSc Programme in Computer Science, whose undergraduate overall academic result is not lower than B+. The amounts of First, Second and Third Class Scholarships are HK$40,000, HK$30,000 and HK$20,000, respectively.

The selection will be determined by the Director of the Programme according to the following criteria:

  1. The applicant for the Scholarship should have obtained an overall academic result of not lower than B+.
  2. An awardee must have been acceptedby the MSc Programme in Computer Science, and enrol in the Programme, or he must be a current student of the Programme.
  3. Personal quality of the applicant, including character, leadership, participation in extracurricular activities, as well as recommendations from teachers, will be considered.

Distinguished Academic Performance Scholarship

The Scholarship is awarded to students of MSc Programme in Computer Science, whose have outstanding academic results in term 1 (for full-time students) / year 1 (for part-time students). The amounts of First, Second and Third Class Scholarships are HK$30,000, HK$20,000 and HK$15,000, respectively.

 

Dean’s List Scholarship

Graduate who are placed on the Dean’s list will receive a scholarship of HK$30,000.

 

Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme

To attract local applicants to apply for our program, the “Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme” (the Scheme) is launched by the University Grants Committee (UGC) to provide fellowships for local students pursuing designated taught postgraduate (TPg) programmes offered by the eight UGC-funded universities.
